Domestic Violence Therapy and Treatment follows the Colorado Domestic Violence Offender Management Board (DVOMB) Standards and Guidelines for all Domestic Violence Offenders. The DVOMB's approach to Domestic Violence Treatment consists of an evaluation, assessment, treatment, and continued monitoring at each stage of the criminal justice system. Through the inclusion of the Multi-disciplinary Treatment Team (MTT); which consists of the Approved Treatment Provider, referring criminal justice agency, Treatment Victim Advocate, and other professionals relevant to the particular case; the coordination of treatment is designed to prevent triangulation, promote containment, and ensure the most effective treatment scenario and treatment outcome.
Treatment Levels (based on intake evaluation, offender treatment needs, and level of risk):
Level A:
-Lower risk offender as determined by evaluation and agreed upon by MTT.
-Consists of a weekly Domestic Violence Therapy class.
Level B:
-Moderate risk offender as determined by evaluation and agreed upon by MTT.
-Consists of a weekly Domestic Violence Therapy class, plus one additional monthly clinical intervention.
Level C:
-Higher risk offender as determined by evaluation and agreed upon by MTT.
-Consists of a weekly Domestic Violence Therapy class, plus one additional weekly clinical intervention.
